Listings Not Importing Into ShowMojo

If you have listings in a Listing Import Source and don't see them in ShowMojo, please follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Go to your ShowMojo Dashboard and look in the upper part of it to see if there are any open import alerts. If there's one or more open import alerts, addressing and correcting the cause of the alert should also resolve the import issue.
  2. Try performing an Immediate Listing Import.
  3. Check your email inbox (belonging to your ShowMojo Account Owner Email Address‍) for an alert about duplicate listing addresses in the import feed. If there is a duplicate address in your import feed, it could impede other import activity from working correctly. So resolve this issue and try the import again.
  4. Check the ShowMojo Listings page and search for the listing. You may discover that the listing is in ShowMojo but someone has taken it off market. If this is the case, this means someone with access to your account Took the Listing Off Market in ShowMojo.
  5. Check the listing import source system and confirm the listings are both on market and (for some systems) published to the web.
  6. Also in the listing import source system, confirm the listing has a valid city, state and zip code.
  7. Is your listing title too long? ShowMojo has a 255 character limit for the title field.
  8. Does the missing listing (or listings) have the exact same address information as a listing already in ShowMojo? Asking the same question a different way: are you trying to import more than one listing with the exact same address (and unit number)? ShowMojo allows only one listing per unique address and unit combination. Please provide different unit numbers per listing.
  9. Make sure that when creating a new listing in the import source system, you are not reusing an existing unit by simply changing the address.  ShowMojo won’t create a new listing for the new unit.  Instead, it’ll try to update the existing listing address, which could cause issues with the listing import.  You should instead create a new, separate unit in the source system.
  10. Also, if the listing import source is AppFolio: locate the listing on the AppFolio gallery page and click View Details. If doing so results in any sort of error, such as "Sorry, the listing you are trying to access is no longer available," please check the listing and address the issue within AppFolio so this message no longer appears.
  11. If your listing import source is Propertyware, the issue could be caused by a listing with one or more corrupted photos. You can see the issue for yourself when trying to view the listing from your Propertyware listings widget (on your website). You will find that the listing will not load. This issue -- and its remedy -- are explained in the article: Propertyware Listings Not Importing Due to Corrupted Photos.
  12. Property Management Inc. (PMI) accounts should check their ShowMojo Import Settings page to confirm their import source. While all PMI accounts enter their data into Propertyware, many have ShowMojo import listings from PMW. In this case, please confirm the listing is appearing on your PMW-provided Homes for Rent page. If it is not, please reach out to PMW.
  13. If the listing import source is PMW / FreeRentalSite: check to make sure the listing is set to syndicate in PMW / FreeRentalSite.
  14. Are you using the feature to Filter Imported Listings Based on Listing Contact Details? If yes, then check to make sure the listing contains contact information that matches to your account or one of your team members.
  15. If your listing import source is AppFolio full integration: make sure the listings are included in the property groups you enabled to share via the integration so we can receive them from AppFolio.
