Forward Inquiries from Listing Sites and Other Sources to ShowMojo

One of ShowMojo's more powerful features is its ability to automatically respond to all listing site inquiries and emails.

ShowMojo’s Auto-Reply feature automatically receives and replies to listings inquiries related to its own syndication. And you can even control how ShowMojo Distributes these Inquiry Emails when they are received.

ShowMojo Can Auto-Reply to Every Lead You Generate, Anywhere

Every ShowMojo customer has a unique Auto-Reply Email address. This can be located on the Listing Sites Settings page in the External Lead Forwarding section.

At ShowMojo, we realize that time and productivity is of the essence. The auto-reply feature was built with this in mind and will respond to incoming listing site inquiries as quickly as possible. It is, however, important to note that not all inquiries can be responded to immediately.

Typically, if an inquiry resulted from:

  • ShowMojo syndication: ShowMojo will reply within five minutes in 99% of cases.
  • Another syndication source, and was server side forwarded to ShowMojo: ShowMojo will reply within five minutes in 90% of cases.
  • Another syndication source, and was manually forwarded to ShowMojo: ShowMojo will reply within five minutes in 50% of cases.
  • Craigslist or something other than a listing site (such as a contact-us form on your website): ShowMojo will reply within five minutes in 5% of cases.

Two Ways To Approach Forwarding

You can use the auto-reply email address one of two ways. You can either:

  • Use your ShowMojo auto-reply email address as your listing site account (or contact) email address. ShowMojo will then forward those emails along to you.
  • Add a rule to your email service to forward listing site inquiry emails to your auto-reply email address. In this case, you will want to set up server-side forwarding and not rely on manual email forwarding.

Server-Side Versus Manual Forwarding

Server-side email forwarding is defined as when you set your email service to automatically forward emails to ShowMojo. This can be done with many services, including Gmail, Yahoo, Microsoft Outlook, iCloud, and others.

Manual email forwarding, on the other hand, is done by simply clicking “Forward” on a specific email, and forwarding it to ShowMojo. Similarly, this process can be automated by creating a “forwarding” or “filtering” rule on a local email application running on your computer. Thunderbird and Apple Mail are two examples of local email applications.

Unlike server-side forwarding, a forwarding rule or filter set up on a local email application will only run when your computer is turned on and connected to the Internet. Also, these email applications tend to include extra data in the email when they forward it. This extra data can slow down ShowMojo’s auto-reply processes.
