This article is of interest to anyone:
- Only using MojoLocks or VaultLOCKS eLockboxes on an account that spans multiple time zones.
- Who explicitly enabled time zone auto detection in the Additional Settings section on the Digital Access Settings page.
Devices the Require Auto-Detection
MojoLocks and VaultLOCKS remember the exact time of day thought the lifetime of the device. This means there is no need for date, time, nor time zone settings on the device itself. ShowMojo automatically determines the time zone of any eLockbox on your account.
As noted above, you can extend this behavior to apply to other access devices on your account, including both digital access devices with a time zone setting (such as CodeBoxes) and even mechanical lockboxes.
How ShowMojo Determines the Self-Show Time Zone
When auto-detection applies to the specific device (see above) ShowMojo:
- Looks for a listing associated with the device, regardless of whether the listing is on or off market.
- Geolocates the listing and automatically assigns the correct time zone.
When auto-detection does not apply to the device, or the device is not associated with a listing, or in the very rare case that a geolocation lookup fails, then this logic is followed:
- ShowMojo uses the time zone of the calendar to which the listing is assigned (when applicable).
- If the listing is not assigned to a calendar, then ShowMojo uses the account time zone.
- When the device is not associated with a listing, ShowMojo uses the account time zone.
To see the time zone ShowMojo has assigned to any MojoLocks and VaultLOCKS, just:
- Go to the Digital Access Report.
- Locate the specific device.
- Look for the option to generate an hourly code. The time zone for the device will be displayed there.
Make Corrections for Auto-Detection
We are aware of special cases where an area might officially be part of one time zone but unofficially does business in a different time zone. To account for these areas:
- Go to the Additional Settings section on the Digital Access Settings page.
- Ensure auto-detection is enabled.
- Ensure listing-by-listing exceptions are enabled.
- Go the Listing Options section on the Listings page.
- In the Access code distribution sub-section, update the Listing time zone for self-showings.
