This is a quick checkup to confirm the main features of a CodeBox are configured and working correctly.
- Use the agent code to access the CodeBox.
- The date and time will immediately appear. Visually confirm they are correct. If necessary, Change the Date and Time on the CodeBox.
- Watch for a "Low Battery" message. If you see one, replace the battery during step 4.
- When "Select CMD:" appears on the screen, press "3".
- Open the CodeBox door in inspect the inside to confirm the battery cover is firmly in place.
- Go to the Digital Access Report, locate the serial number for the CodeBox, and pull a code for the current date.
- Use the code to access the CodeBox. If you receive a "No Showing Now!" message, consult the Change the CodeBox Access Window article.
- Enter an incorrect four-digit access code into the box. Then enter an incorrect four digit access code a second time. Wait for the contact phone number to appear. This number should be the contact number that prospects use to reach someone at your company when they are having an issue with the CodeBox. If the number is incorrect and needs to be updated, consult the Change the Contact Phone Number on a CodeBox article.
That's it. If these steps were completed without issue or smoke emanating from the CodeBox, then it is ready for service.
