While it might be possible to address some issues while not at the CodeBox, please be aware that many steps here will require someone to be present at the CodeBox.
If prospects report that the CodeBox display is working and responding to button presses, then the next step is to determine the nature of the error:
- If the CodeBox regularly reports a "Entry Error" then see the article on Prospects (or Anyone Else) Regularly Report "Entry Error" Messages on a CodeBox.
- If the CodeBox regularly reports a "No Showing Now!" message then, assuming the CodeBox should be accessible at that time, then consult the Changing the CodeBox Access Window article.
- If the CodeBox displays a "Push and Release" message and you confirm the prospect is pushing on the CodeBox key compartment door (and not the house door) then consult The CodeBox Key Compartment Door Will Not Open article.
If the CodeBox display, and the CodeBox itself, seems entirely unresponsive, this typically indicates the battery is dead. You can use the Secondary Battery Connector to open the CodeBox and replace the battery.
